DESSERTS AT PAULINE'S
One of our proudest culinary evolutions here at Pauline's is our dessert menu.
Our dessert lineup generally includes chocolate mousse, tasty butterscotch pudding, a sorbet trio, and of course
the nightly sundae or banana split. For large groups, we offer platters of Pauline's housemade cookies with fresh fruit such as strawberries, perfect for sharing, as well as individual petite chocolate mousses.
We seek out the best ingredients for our sweet treats, and invest in Belgian Callebaut Chocolate, rare vanilla
from Madagascar, and high-quality dairy products. At our Star Canyon Ranch in the Sierra Foothills, a dozen hens stay busy laying eggs
for our dessert chef to use in ice creams, butterscotch pudding and Pauline's housemade cookies. We also like to feature our homegrown
herbs and fruits in our sorbets and ice creams, which are spun weekly right here at Pauline's.

As with our pizza specials, our desserts vary by season. In winter, the sorbet trio may be
all citrus...say, kumquat, ruby grapefruit and tangelo. Berries arrive at the restaurant in spring, and of course
summer brings a panoply of plums, melons, and cherries. Throughout the year we can't help but make our beloved
rosemary ice cream, which we think is heavenly with chocolate sauce. We also make an intense fresh mint ice cream
and have been experimenting with orange bergamot, an herb that contains oils which give the ice cream a refreshing
green tea taste and a unique and likable texture. If you're curious, come dine in and try a scoop!
